I understand that the John Crows had a meeting this afternoon. Headman John Crow reported that for the first time, the John Crows got recognition at the highest political level in Jamaica. At the press conference held at the Office of the Prime Minister, a journalist asked where all the John Crows have gone. She did not see any John Crows around. Some people in the room were getting jittery because they knew that people are sometimes referred to as John Crows.
This journalist meant well. She felt that we needed the help of the John Crows to get rid of the carcasses in the communities. She was wondering if we could get some John Crows. I value John Crows, but I would suggest she find a way of telling the John Crows that there was dead meat in some parishes. Mi naw ketch no John Crow
I understand John Crows are more effective at communicating. They are far superior to FLOW and Digicel. I am sure that if there are plenty of dead meat in the western parishes, the headman, John Crow, would have communicated this to all John Crows in the island..
John Crows are not stupid; when they heard about Category 5 Hurricane Melissa, they got their emergency passports, applied for their visa, and went to the USA.
The problem is, time is so hard, and it will get harder. Not even dead meat, John Crow cannot find in Jamaica. I would not be surprised if they applied for their green cards. If they come back to Jamaica, I don't see them picking up carcases from off the land. They will want to lick their fingers after a tasty meal of chicken.
You remember those dogs that migrated to Canada? I understand that they have settled in so well that they now bark with a new accent.

Quite entertaining read.reminds of the importance of crows.
ReplyDeleteJournalism is not what it used to be. Is critical thinking dead and swallowed up by Johncrow?
ReplyDeleteAre John Crows an Endangered Specie? Please advise before people go catching them and then you'll have a real Jan Cru problem in the country. Remember when one President said they ' They are eating our pets... eating our dogs and cats' and he surprisingly grabbed and held the attention to victory. Let's lighten up on our 'youthful exuberant journalist'!
