Custos Gentles Helping The People of Trelawny
Residents of Trelawny are very appreciative of the Custos of Trelawny, businessman Hugh Gentles, for loaning equipment to clear the roads in southern Trelawny. I was told that people had to pay over JAD1000 extra to go to Christiana in Manchester because the main road was damaged. Vehicles had to travel via Lemon Walk.
Residents have told me that many taxi drivers have objected to the roads being cleared because they want to collect the big fare. I would love to know the names and the license plates of those vehicles whose drivers were objecting to the road being cleared. These drivers are enemies of the people, and they should not be serving the public.
