This press release is a public relations document for the Miss Universe Organisation and its organizers. The negative tone at the beginning tells you a story. The organizers need to let us know if there was a problem with the floor. Was the hole in the floor the cause of the accident?. Has Miss Universe accepted liability for the incident? Saying that they paid for hotel expenses is neither here nor there if this talented and beautiful Jamaican queen ends up with long-term medical challenges. She might not be able to practice medicine again!
It is interesting to note that the release has no date or contact information. It means, therefore, that I would not be able to get any clarification from the organisers.
Jamaica should consider boycotting this competition until Miss Universe gets its act together. Dem no ready.
I understand that Dr. Gabrielle Henry's dad attended Knox College and her mother worked with air Jamaica. This information has not been confirmed.
