Citizens Complain Bitterly That Flow Has Failed Them

Ocean Pointe, Lucea.

A resident of Ocean Pointe, Lucea Hanover, complains about the poor service offered by Flow. He says that the service has been nonexistent since Melissa. Residents continue to receive bills, although there has been no service for over a month.

The down cable lines are blocking driveways. Over 50 residents are affected, and they are not receiving any updates.  Residents report that JPS restored their electricity services promptly and kept them abreast almost daily.

The residents complain that no one answers the telephone at Flow.  The prediction is that FLOW will lose their clients in that area. Residents are now switching to Starlink for Internet service. One resident says that the people must demand better customer service from all service providers if our country is to move forward.

The resident says he gives them all an F - in all areas of their operations.

Editor's Note

The customer's report has been sent to the relevant bodies.

  1. This is interesting as normally it is Flow to the rescue not the other service provider.
I recall that when hurricanes are on their way to Jamaica it was a l ways Flow to the rescue.
It seems much has changed although not for me a satisfied Flow customer for decades.
The other competitor no such satisfaction.
There is also the advent of stealing underground cables that is an offence that is tantamount to treasonous Terrorism deserves a life sentence if caught and convicted.
Again underground cables is the way to go for all our cable
    services suppliers which includes electricity.
For communications Jamaica/Caricom may need to launch our own CARISAT communications Sattelites.
If not our own JAMLINKS satellites.

We need to do another first have our
    Communications Sattelite in Space.
    "JAMLINKS"
As a matter of fact the first
Blackman in space is an Afro Jamaican born to a Jamaican born mother and father in the USA.
His name is CHRISTOPHER HUIE whose father is LLOYD SPENCE (RIP) born in Askenish, Hanover, Jamaica.

  4. They are truly the worst . The wait the unprofessionalism . There slogan should be FLOW = SLOW . They have lost any competitive advantage they once had . I will be leaving FLOW for sure . Our entire Ocean Pointe Community has had it .We must begin to hold companies operating on our soil accountable when they have abdicated their role .

  6. This is poor and unacceptable from such an established company. Why is Flow so silent? Why are they not communicating with their customers? It’s okay to send invoices however no other form of communication?
Some members of our community works from home and is unable to do so. Total shame on Flow. We deserve better and that’s the reason they will lose valued customers. Mr. vaz we need you to step in.

  9. Flow cited that extended power outage was due to power outage. Now power is back, what’s your excuse FLOW for no internet service while still been hit with a monthly bill ??

  10. Flow is the worst thing that happened to Jamaica. They changed out their box because the old box did not support their new fiber system. At no time was I told that I would need to pay an additional $2,000. I started receiving an increased invoice and called to complain about it. That was when I found out that the added $2,000 was for their new box in addition to paying the rental fee for their “new” box. I was on the phone with the Flow rep for over 1 1/2 hour and still did not get my issues resolved. Now, flow has sent me invoices for services they know I do not have. Since Melissa, Flow has not been in our community, yet, Flow continue to send out invoices for services they know are not working. E sure they are out in force he community running wire as of December 17th, 2025. Yet, they just sent me yet another invoice for $18,200, then sent me an email saying they partially suspended service for they are not providing and not able to provide since they are not done running their wires. I have decided to order Starlink to rid myself from them once and for all. Flow is dishonest and disgusting and I want nothing more than to get rid of them!!!
