Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security and Peace, the Honourable Dr. Horace Chang, OJ, MP, underwent an elective procedure over the weekend and is recuperating well.
During this period, the Ministry of National Security and Peace will be overseen by the Prime Minister.
We wish our Deputy Prime Minister a speedy recovery and a quick resumption of duties.

An elective surgery can be scheduled, and one's life is not at risk. A knee replacement and any cosmetic surgeries fall into that category.
