A British Airways flight from London is being held in the Bahamas due to concerns about the health of some passengers. Some of these passengers are coming from Africa.
Two of the passengers are showing signs of the dangerous Ebola virus, now affecting some African countries. There is no vaccine for the Ebola virus.
The Hon. Rolston Anglin, Minister with responsibility for Education and Training and for Finance and Economic Development in the Cayman Islands, is also on the flight. There are other Caymanians on the flight.
Other Caribbean countries, such as Jamaica, have to monitor their ports of entry carefully.
