Some People In Lime Tree, Trelawny, Lack Civic Pride

I must say thanks to the few Jamaicans who believe in law and order. They keep Bark Di Trute informed about what needs to be dealt with in our country. Our parish councillors are better paid these days, yet they show little interest in the environment. They turn a blind eye to people throwing garbage where they are not supposed to throw the garbage and place things on our roads.

Being a councillor is not just about winning votes. It is leading by example and helping to ensure that our little country is kept clean and beautiful, and there is a semblance of order in our communities.

Listen to this complaint from the Parish of Trelawny by clicking the icons below:

These are the building materials placed on the road in Lime Tree, Trelawny. We seem to have a different law for rural Jamaica. If the councillor is not seeing these things, then he is probably visually challenged.

Mayor Fagan, I wonder if this was brought to your attention and if the assistance of the police was sought to have the materials removed. The law should allow the municipality to take up these things. The council could then sell it or use it. The owners should compensate the municipality for the work done to bring back the area to its original state.

I do hope that people in other parts of the island will support the people of Trelawny.
