Disruptions on the Island

It is very clear to me that several groups are working hard to cause disruptions on the island. People must be very careful about these calls to strike. The following is a poster that was sent out stating there will be an all-island taxi strike today.

There is also a movement to push for a demonstration against the killing of Buju. The push is to use the woman argument that officers are killing women. Bark Di Trute's position is that anyone who breaks the law should be treated as a criminal. This includes women and children. The court, in making its decision in these cases, will take into consideration the mitigating and aggravating factors as well as character references and social workers' reports.

To all who love Jamaica, we had elections on September 3. If the government does anything that is against the interests of the country, there are many ways to let our voices be heard. First, you have an active opposition party to whom you can complain, and you have bloggers like Bark Di Trute to whom you can write. You can also have public meetings to discuss certain issues.

Once again, let me warn the media houses that airing certain news items with a particular slant can damage your reputation. For example, the news from one media house reported that an executive at NSWMA has been relieved of their job, and taxpayers will have to foot the bill of JAD 8 million. You are still in political campaign mode. I don't know if this dismissal is justifiable, but I do know that many government executives serve no purpose, and they should be sent home. They waste far more than the cost of terminating their services.

Fire In Manchester

There was a fire at one of the cottages at Bryce Primary School in Manchester. We are awaiting an official report from the Fire Brigade Service.

Bad spot in Harbour View

This gaping hole is on the left, going east on the Paul Bogle Highway, across from the Harbour View Seventh Day Adventist Church.

This area in Harbour View is an area where someone could have a very serious accident. It needs to be dealt with urgently.

Challenges in Passage Fort

A Bark Di Trute supporter reports that where you see the stones in the picture, that is where the children from the Early Childhood institution at Passage Fort Community Park had their Earth Day Tree Planting Project to create a shaded green space for their classroom and something of value to the environment and their introduction to volunteerism to build community pride.

A senior member of the Passage Fort Citizens' Association Executive robbed them of that opportunity by taking action to dig out the trees and place stones in the holes.

This seems unbelievable. Who is the principal of the school, and who are the executive members of the parent-teacher association? Can they do something about the matter?

Car Wash On The Roadside In Portmore

A car wash operation is damaging the road surface at Hallandale Drive West and Sunset Road in Passage Fort.

The Portmore Municipality needs to deal with this matter now.

  1. How discouraging it must be for the children who planted that tree 🌳. Bwoy I tell you, adults are the reason why some of our children end up wayward.
