Press Release From The St. James Bee Farmers Association - June 1, 2026
The St James Bee Farmers Association is once again fulfilling its mandate to educate and inform the people of St. James about bees and their importance to our environment.
This time was a presentation and an apiary visit to the Ophel Pathfinders Club of the Glendevon Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Topaz Lewis-Barrett, Director, Ophel Pathfinders Club, expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the club for inspiring our young people to appreciate nature, agriculture, and the vital role bees play in our ecosystem.
The presentation was done by Chairman Dennis McKay and Director Romario Scott, setting the pace for the upcoming major event “HEALTHY Life Style Day” on August 13, 2026, partnering with the St. James Parish Council and the St James Health Department, to be held at Sam Sharpe Square.
