| Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger |
Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the “Hero of the Hudson” who safely landed a US Airways flight in the Hudson River to save 155 passengers in 2009, has been diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s. He landed a plane in the Hudson River on Jan. 15, 2009, to save all passengers. This touching story was reported in the New York Post.
Travelling by plane is the safest way to travel, but when you have an accident, a significant number of lives can be lost. You have had all passengers on a flight with one survivor, but a crash with all 155 persons surviving is simply remarkable.
This must have been the greatest miracle of all time in the aviation industry.
Let's pray for Capt. Chesley and all those who suffer from Alzheimer's disease. It is not easy to deal with, especially those who have to take care of the sick person.
Do you have someone with the challenge? Tell us about it and let us know how you are coping.
