UWI Silent on Prof. Andre Haugton's Recommendation for Chronic Law
The university has not responded to the news item about one of its professors using its stationery to recommend a questionable character. There could be a big business going on at the university with staff members writing letters of recommendation. Can you imagine getting a possible JAD .5 million for a recommendation? Neither the Vice Chancellor's office nor the Marketing and Public Relations Officer has responded to the blog and podcast that Bark Di Trute sent to them.
We need to clean up the university, which is why it must be transparent in its operations. A few years ago, I got a report about a student who wanted to enter medical school. He was bluntly told that he had to sleep with a man if he wanted to get in.
Some years ago, a lecturer who loved the young men in Management Studies had a group of young men close to him. They were always aware of what was coming on the examination paper. He made passes at me, and I believe that I paid dearly for my actions because I was not interested in men.
Car Park at UWI Hospital
Someone needs to investigate the setup of that car park at the UWI Hospital. Based on what I saw, funds paid for parking could disappear into pockets. Can you imagine, at a hospital where people can barely afford to pay for their medical expenses, we are charging them to park there? When you park at the designated parking area, there is no shuttle service to take you to a specific department at the hospital.
We are cruel to our own people. It will just be a matter of time before other hospitals start charging for parking. Even churches might start charging for parking. We say healthcare is free, but we have found ways to make the people pay for other things such as parking.
NWC Hands Are Full Fixing Broken Mains
Thanks to all the Bark Di Trute supporters who have been identifying the NWC broken mains. The NWC has been trying its best to deal with these broken mains, but a significant amount of water has been lost as a result.

Garbage All Around
Jamaicans cannot assume that because garbage trucks and workers are there to pick up garbage, we must throw the garbage anywhere. The moment your garbage is not picked up on a timely basis by the NSWMA, then make a report to the office. If you are not getting through, then contact Bark Di Trute.
First, let me commend the NSWMA for collecting the garbage at the Vineyards in St. Catherine.
The garbage at the Tarrant High School bus stop is getting worse by the day. This is on Molynes Road.
The Duhaney Park Gully is in a terrible state, and it needs cleaning now. I wonder who the MP and the councillor for that area are.
Have a look at the picture below and see the amount of junk that is thrown in this area, which is in the middle of Cross Roads next to a taxi parking area.
This is another area where garbage is piling up in Cross Roads. Can the KSAC prosecute the business people who are responsible for this commercial garbage?
