Scamming Taking A New Form?

Good day, my friend. A senior police officer brought to my attention that there is a lady seeking support to have her hysterectomy done at the Mandeville Hospital in Manchester. This was posted on social media. She says she also needs blood. She states that the operation will cost JAD1 million.

You will understand my concern regarding this matter because people have been fantastic in giving me support during this time of my medical challenges. I would hate to know that someone is abusing the generosity of the Jamaican people. 

I checked with a doctor connected with the Mandeville Hospital, and he says that Mandeville is a public hospital and it does not charge that amount for a hysterectomy.

The police officer who spoke to me is convinced that this lady is engaging in scamming.

The scammers are very active, so be alert. They love to target the elderly.
