National Water Commission Notices

NWC TO CARRY OUT EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE WORK AT SPICY GROVE PLANT IN ST ANN


SPICY GROVE, TOP CHESTER AND SURROUNDINGS TO BE AFFECTED
The National Water Commission is advising that due to emergency maintenance work to be carried out at the Spicy Grove Plant in St Ann, this will require the shutdown of the system from 9am on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, until 5pm on Thursday, May 2, 2019. 
As a result, there will be water supply disruptions to the communities served by the Plant until the corrective maintenance work is completed.

Areas to be affected: Spicy Grove, Top Chester and surroundings. Customers in the affected areas are being urged to store water where possible for use during this period of disruption.  The NWC will seek to provide relief trucking on a scheduled basis where necessary.

NWC TO CARRY OUT MAINTENANCE WORK AT MONEAGUE RE-LIFT PLANT IN ST ANN

SECTIONS OF CLAPHAM, ROADSIDE, SILKFIELD, SWAMP AND SURROUNDINGS TO BE AFFECTED
The National Water Commission is advising that due to preventative maintenance work to be carried out at the Moneague Re-Lift Station in St Ann, this will require the shutdown of the system from 9am on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, until 5pm on Thursday, May 9, 2019. 
As a result, there will be water supply disruptions to the communities served by the Plant until the corrective maintenance work is completed.

Areas to be affected: Clapham, Roadside, Silkfield, Swamp, Grierfield, Dribulta, Phoenix Park and surroundings.

Customers in the affected areas are being urged to store water where possible for use during this period of disruption.  The NWC will seek to provide relief trucking on a scheduled basis where necessary.

The National Water Commission apologises for any inconvenience caused and seeks to assure its valued customers that every effort will be made to restore water supply within the shortest possible time.

MECHANICAL PROBLEMS DISRUPT WATER SUPPLY IN SECTIONS OF ST. ELIZABETH, MANCHESTER AND CLARENDON


The National Water Commission wishes to advise customers served by the Middle Quarters Relift Station in St. Elizabeth that the disruption they are currently experiencing is as a result of mechanical problems at the facility.

Areas affected include: Point, Craige, Middle Quarters, New Holland.
Customers are being assured that every effort is being made to complete the necessary repairs and restore water by Tuesday May 7, 2019. 
At the same time, operations at the Moravia Treatment Plant have fallen to 50% due to mechanical challenges at the facility.
Customers in Manchester and Clarendon who are served by this facility may experience, low water pressure, intermittent supply or periods of no water.
Affected areas include: Christiana, Spaulding, Coleyville, Chudleigh, Malton, Molliston, Devon, Farm, Richmond, Sedburgh, Silent Hill, Dump, Huddersfield and surrounding areas.
The NWC regrets the inconvenience caused and assures its valued customers that every effort is being made to restore water supply by Wednesday, May 1, 2019.


NWC TO UNDERTAKE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE WORK AT SEVERAL FACILITIES IN ST ANDREW


WATER SUPPLY EFFICIENCY MEASURES TO BE EMPLOYED AT SEVERAL FACILITIES

The National Water Commission is advising that it will be necessary to shut down water supply to several communities in St. Andrew in order to carry out scheduled maintenance work at several facilities. 
These works are scheduled to be carried out as follows:
Friendship Brook                               Thursday, May 2, 2019 |Time: 7am to 4pm
Areas to be affected:                          Sections of Butcher’s Pass, Cane

Flamstead Tank#2                              Friday, May 3, 2019 |Time: 8am to 5pm
Areas to be affected:                          Top Hill, Flamstead, Little Content, Galloway Lodge, Dublin Castle, University Tank, Lower Guava Ridge

Drummond Tank                              Friday, May 3, 2019|Time:6am to 7pm 
Areas to be affected:                          Bull Bay, Windsor Lodge, Greenvale Road, Nine & Ten Miles, Taylor Lands, Tamarind Tree Old Road, Tana Hill, Clement Road

Griffin                                                 Saturday, May 4, 2019 and Sunday, May 5, 2019 |Time: 8am to 5pm daily
Areas to be affected:                          Red Light, Irish Town, Industry, Village, Cottage Hill, Wiltshire, Cornfield, Hart Hill, Gayle Mountain, Bermuda Mountain, Jackfruit Tree, Rodney Pen, Cameron Hill, Enfield, Elleslie Way

Harbour River                                   Saturday, May 4, 2019|Time: 7am to 4pm 
Areas to be affected:                          Sections of Bloxburgh and Harbour River

Hibbert Spring                                  Saturday, May 4, 2019|Time: 7am to 4pm 
Areas to be affected:                          New Ramble, West Phalia Road

Flamstead Tank#1                             Monday, May 6, 2019|Time: 8am to 4pm 
Areas to be affected:                          Top Hill to Flamstead, Little Content, Galloway Lodge

Customers in these areas are being urged to store water for use during the period of disruption.
The NWC wishes to apologise to its valued customers for any inconvenience that these works may cause and seeks to assure them that every effort will be made to restore regular water supply in the shortest possible time.


WATER SUPPLY DISRUPTIONS IN ST. ELIZABETH, MANCHESTER, ST. ANN AND CLARENDON

 The National Water Commission (NWC) is apologizing to customers in St. Elizabeth who are served by the Union well for the disruption in service, which is due to power supply challenges at the facility.
Affected areas include: Union, Raheen, Marlborough, Russell Hill, Pheonix Park, Balaclava, St. Pauls, Roses Valley, Comfort Hall, Content, Free Town, Evergreen, Mount Pleasant, Beverley and surrounding areas.
The matter has been reported to the power service provider and operations will resume at the facility as soon as the issues are resolved.
At the same time, customers in Manchester, St. Ann and Clarendon who are served by the Two Meeting Treatment Plant are without regular water supply due to high turbidity levels affecting the facility.

Affected areas include: Laughton Town, Junction, Mt. Mariah, Alston, Tweedside, Peckham, Water Works, Baillieston, Cow Pen, Booth Town, Malcolm Town, Nine Mile, Santa Hill, Bullocks, Sapulding, Sanguennetti, Limit, Cobbla, Village Street, Walderston, Mizpah, Mt. Olivett, White Shop and surrounding areas.

The NWC regrets any inconvenience caused and assures its valued customers that normal operations will resume as soon as the high turbidity subsides.
