I just received a report from one of my On The Ground Reporters that a Guardsman security guard was killed in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth today. Persons in the area believe that the gunmen believed that the security vehicle was loaded with cash. They report that the Guardsman vehicle actually went to the area to collect funds from the ABM in the town. The gunmen pounced on the security person in charge of the Gardsman vehicle but they ended up not getting any funds.

The gunmen escaped. The crime and murders specifically, continue on the upward tread in Jamaica and Jamaicans are now living in fear of not just covid-19 but and also in fear of gunmen. The information coming from persons in the area is that the security personnel were not wearing protective clothing.
