Director of Public
Relations
and
Communication
Mr Vando Palmer has sent me the following information about the Ministry of Labour and Social Services Offices in Montego Bay:
The following are the limited services available at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security Office in Montego Bay:
PATH - General PATH Queries addressed, some screening & registration, remittance payments being disbursed.
NIS - General Information given, Registration & Application Forms being issued (No processing at this time/no internet)
LABOUR - General queries being addressed via walk in & via CUGs, complaints being taken from walk in, some meetings being held.
JUTC
Mr. Cecil Thoms says that the JUTC has indicated to the public that on curfew days (curfew is at 8pm) the JUTC is accessible up to 1930 hours. The JUTC is an essential service and provides a limited service on no movement days to facilitate frontline and essential workers. Persons may view schedule on their website at www.jutc.gov.jm for scheduling information. The company also continue to provide a bus for the staff.
Transportation Authority
Those bike riders who are carrying out courier services to deliver goods for companies should ensure that they get the appropriate license from the Transport Authority. I note also that many motor-cycle riders ride using a learners license rather than a license.
Vaccinations
MP Juliet Holness has indicated that vaccination is taking place in various places in Harbour View and MP Morland Wilson has indicated that he is arranging for persons to get vaccination in his constituency. I have also heard from MPs Julian Robinsons, Marissa Dalrymple-Philibert and Pearnel Charles who have been assisting persons to get their vaccine.
JMMB Construction
A JMMB customer has informed me that JMMB is involved in constructing a building next door to their ABM in Liguanea, in Kingston. The customer has asked me to remind the JMMB to ensure that the building has bathrooms for the customers.
Wonderful MPs you are doing a great job ♥️
