Electric Cars - Should You Get One?

Electric motor vehicles are here!  From all indications the introduction of  electric vehicles in the market  will be a win win for consumers. JPSCo and other organizations are now setting up charging stations across the island. Today on AYS (At Your Service), I had an interesting discussion with Delano Mighty from Evergo about electric cars in Jamaica.

Electric automobiles are the future, but I am not in a hurry to get one. I would like to suggest that one waits until it's a mature product, and in becomes a volume market. As a mature product, just like any other product, it will allow you to purchase a product that has minimum development errors, and will make your life more comfortable in the long run. From a volume point of view, like any other product, it will cost significantly less to purchase. These are just my point of views..

The benefits to society & individuals are very clear. We have taken too long to get to this point. My concern is that I am not hearing about the electrification of Jamaica's public transport system - is it that once again we are late out of the block?
