ReplyDeleteWhy are we not pushing for more renewable solar energy. Is there a part of the contractual arrangements that will penalize the country for using less than a certain amount of JPS power?.Jamaica should go for solar power in as many homes and businesses as is possible.Again is there a clause that stops the government from making solar energy a mass use product that could reduce the viability and profit making projections of the JPS.We need to know then the Government should make duty free or aggregate duty no more than 5-10% on the importation of such technology and tax free incentives for it's local manufacture sale and distribution renewable for 10years.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally all government institutions should lead the way by becoming solar.Jamaica House,Kings House and Parliament ,let's go.
