Approximately 10,000 Affected By JPS Power Outage - JPS Dealing With Challenge



JPS teams are working to restore power supply to approximately 10,000 customers in several parishes affected by power outages, as a result of the inclement weather conditions. 

The parishes most affected are: Clarendon, Kingston & St Andrew, St Catherine, St. Ann, St James and Hanover. 

Most customers impacted by this morning’s outages are expected to have service restored by noon. Every effort is being made to get all customers restored as soon as possible.

    At least once a month and sometimes more frequently a nearby transformer encodes resulting in outages if varying lengths. Sometimes low voltage and lights blinking on and off.
    This service has destroyed the electronic motherboard of my oven which. Now it does not work and cannot be repaired. JPS has no interest in compensation
