SpotOn is On - Monday, March 20, 2023

SpotOn

Dr. Sapphire Longmore
Senator and Psychiatrist

It's another Monday, March 20, 2023 and SpotOn will hit the airwaves on Riddim FM at 1000 hours and will continue until 1300. Our first guest for Talk Yu Talk will be Dr. Sapphire Longmore who is a psychiatrist. She played an important role in those tense moments as Leo Bennett the suspended fireman, took his protest to a high point on the top of the Transportation Centre building in Halfway Tree. Negotiating with someone who feels strongly about a matter and who is dangerously perched atop a high building, requires someone of the calibre of Dr. Longmore. I understand that she was hoisted in a fire truck bucket which was extended into the air to allow her to converse with the gentleman.

She will tell us about that experience, and give us a better understanding of the psychiatrist role in such situation. She was Jamaican's Miss Jamaica Universe, she is a senator and she is a psychiatrist who last week was responsible for negotiating with Leo Bennett, the fire man who took his grievances and the Jamaican flag to the top of the Transportation Centre in Halfway Tree. Leo held the nations attention approximately five hours I understand.

The National Water Commission has advised that areas such as Queensborough and Perkins Boulevard in Kingston, will have their water supply turned on, in about an hour and half. This delay is due to a leak in the area.
