I just got the sad news that Professor Winston Davidson has died.
He was a former Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Health and last served at UTECH. He has also been a guest on my show a few times, sharing health information with the public.
On another note, I hope you have had no challenges during the heavy rain on Friday. A few people are lucky to be still alive. Some people have had their houses washed away or damaged, and in one report from an individual, one car with its occupants ended up in a gully.
The Accuweather weather map shows shower activity to the Southeast of Jamaica. One international media house reported a low probability it could develop into a tropical storm or a hurricane. We are still in the hurricane season. A strong earthquake can hit us in the future.
