Thanks
First, let me thank you for your support during the past year. I hoped to have made the one million views target for Bark Di Trute by the end of December. In another two days, we will make it. That will be an achievement for the blog. We now have over 998,370 views in two years.
We depend on you to share the blog with as many people as possible. The more you share this blog, the more influential it will become
Asafa Powell
The first report I got this year was a video posted by Asafa Powell about his light bill being JAD70,000 for one month. Asafa Powell should understand that posting this video alone, will not solve the problem. Asafa could be a great help by being a part of the consumer movement. I would love him to support Bark Di Trute. With that support, we could help him and other Jamaicans to deal with their JPSCo challenges.
I would ask Asafa the following questions:
- Do you have the JPSCo application on your phone?
- Have you been monitoring your electricity usage using your phone?
- If you will be away for an extended period, did you ask for your services to be temporarily suspended?
- Have you requested that your meter be checked to see if it is in good working condition?
- Is it possible that illegal connections were made to your service while you were away?
- Have you made a formal written report to the JPS? (I would like to see a copy of the report.)
- When last did you have a certified and licenced electrician check on your wirings to ensure no electricity leakage?
Nothing is wrong with making a challenge with an entity public. However, you should make a formal written report. Remember, there are many complaints about the Automatic Banking Machines, and few reports are made. The banks have concluded that all is fine with the ABMs!
Those Other Fireworks
While some celebrate the New Year arrival, the powerful barking of the guns sends a powerful signal to the nation. The gunmen are still in charge. We should have flooded those areas with unidentified police who could locate the people with the guns.

Unless there is strict law and order in this country, those gangsters could turn their guns against the state. Mark my words!
