Gibson McCook Relays 2024 - JAD1 Million for Winners - Tickets for Winners

The Gibson McCook Relays are here again, and it will be another stellar sporting event on the Jamaican athletics calendar, with an International touch. Bark Di Trute has partnered with the organizers to promote the event and will be offering over 200 passes to supporters of Bark Di Trute. Check the link below this article that will allow you to submit your name. It will be on February 24, 2024, starting at 0900 EST. 

Up to one million Jamaican dollars will be available in prizes for best performances in all categories. Record breakers will also get a share of the prize money. 

A significant amount of overseas teams are scheduled to participate in various events of the 2024 edition of the Gibson McCook Relays. They will be Queens Royal College (Boys) and Bishop Anstey High School  (Girls) from Trinidad & Tobago. These schools are the winning High School track and field teams from Trinidad and Tobago. Queens Royal College has produced several Olympians like McDonald Bailey in 1952 and medalist Wendell Mottley in 1964. Other Olympians include Deon Lendore, Marc Burns, and Jehue Gordon. Queens Royal College placed 4th in the boys' international section of the sprint relay at last year's Penn Relays behind XLCR Calabar and Herbert Morrison. 

Junior and senior athletes from the Bahamas, Canada, St Kitts Nevis, Trinidad & Tobago and the USA have confirmed their participation in the 2024 renewal of the Gibson McCook Relays. 

The Canadian teams will include junior athletes in the 4 X 100 and 4 X 200 classes I, II and III, both from the Brampston Racers and Flying Angels. Bishop Anstey and Queens College from Trinidad and Tobago will have girls and boys, respectively in the sprint ( 4 X 100, 4 X 200 and 4 X 400) relays. 

St Kitts Nevis is due to enter a high jump athlete and the Bahamas, a 4 X 100 male club team. 

Over 2,000 athletes have registered to compete at the 51st staging of the Gibson McCook Relays.
