Councilor Vernon McLeod Urges Town Clerk to Deal with Empty Lots in Queensborough!

Councillor Vernon McLeod

Councillor Vernon McLeod has hit the ground running. He is the councillor for the Havendale Division. The following message was sent by Mr McLeod to the KSAMC Town Clerk, Mr Hill:

There are a number of VACANT LOTS in the community of Queensborough Gardens that are in dire need of cleaning, particularly as:

They are breeding ground for mosquitoes

Being used as disposal sites for all types of construction materials, tree limbs and garden cuttings

They are serving as "hideouts " for criminals

These Lots are on the following streets:

  • Moonlight Drive
  • Lower Tunbridge Drive
  • Dianna Place
  • Queensborough Drive

As a consequence I wish that you take urgent action in locating the owners of these vacant Lots with a view to compelling them to have the Lots cleaned., failing which, the KSAMC have these Lots cleaned and enter the appropriate Caveats against the properties.

You'll note that I have copied this email to members of the community.

Please let me hear from you soonest

Regards

  2. These empty lots are really becoming a eyesore all across Jamaica and the construction companies are utilizing them accordingly. It's time for the owners to make use of these lots and put them to good use.
