WANTED Commissioner of Police!!!

A Commissioner of Police wanted by the:

Jamaica could step up the democracy ladder by having the nation say who the next Commissioner of Police should be. The appointment to a position like this needs the support of all parliamentarians and the people of Jamaica.

There is one front-runner for the post now, who should not be considered at all. If I am given the opportunity, I would like to ask him a few questions. He might have difficulties answering my questions.

We need the top contenders for the position, to appear in front of a Senate Committee and be made to answer questions. Citizens should also be allowed to raise objections or be able to give their support for the contender of their choice in writing.

I heard someone on the radio pointing out that the contenders are highly qualified. Degrees alone cannot make a good Commissioner of Police. Jamaica needs an outstanding leader to be the next Commissioner of Police. One who can lead from the front. Not one who sits in an office and runs the force by sending out memos.

Jamaica needs a commissioner who when he barks all criminals quake. Jamaica needs a Commissioner who when he calls on the citizens for support, dem falla back a him. Jamaica needs a Commission who if any leader gives him operational instructions he should be willing to tell that leader where to get off. Failure to find that Commissioner could mean business as usual which is business unusual.

  3. Agreed that the public should be involved.....but even the best commissioner will not be able to walk on water.....the constitution must now put the power in the hands of the people to choose their leaders...the current pop dung system we have only benefits the gangs of the two political parties....fix that first...

  5. Well let's see how this choosen one will operate for the people..by the people. All who are opposing a Commissioner from the Army is not fair because it is one Jamaica and the Army personnel is a more fortnight and disciplined leader. Anderson did a damn good job and he is also not just an ordinary soldier he his an Engineer in his own right. Wishing all the best to whomever they choose as Commissioner of Police.

  7. To be honest, if a person really put you in a certain position and it was not the people of Jamaica. It is very hard to really not Obey, when the bigger head talks. However; some of these people do not like when Evil is silent and cannot bark. Them love to have the criminal at their disposal. Then they cannot control after a while. Criminal's are sending out men to come and watch your business and choose when to come and rob you and and most times you cannot afford a security guard. If Jamaica security can put these criminal under subjection. How is the economy is going to really strive? Government really needs put these criminal's into the Fields and let plant up land. So they can feed those who are in need and also feed themselves. Government a play with these criminal's! No wonder so much young men really interesting in doing the wrong things and thinks it is something wonderful. What a world to be living in.

  8. Hey, Vernon maybe you could start a debate on the future constitution and have Haile Mika'el Cujo as one of the guests. It would be good to get a few perspectives. Members of the Jamaican diaspora (and yours) could offer comments. What do you think?

  9. Democratize the Commissioner post.
Every parish having a Commissioner's squad (CS) to respond on the ground everywhere on the Island.
This CS must be headed by a senior inspector.

The Com Pol should no longer be seen as a Kingston quasi colonial power over the subject citizens of Jamaica.

Every Parish must be equipped with at least one helicopter for ground support.

I present manpower I gather has moved from 12,000 to 14,000.
This figure to be effective needs to move to28 or 30,000 minimum.

If police numbers not beefed up the Criminals and their cohorts will shift the balance of power in their favour.

There is a Tic Tok social media bleached out squad in the JCF all about uniformed visa and other opportunities should be eliminated along with certified criminal members and hustlers of the JCF.
Any new Commissioner has a real clean up job to do.

The JCF must cease to be oppressive "Babylon or Babywrong" agents of indirect tax collection writing traffic tickets to finance the national budget sometimes having nothing to do with.
    To SERVE,PROTECT AND REASSURE.
