Winston Ennis |
It has been confirmed that Mr Winston Ennis former Deputy Mayor of the KSAMC will be an independent member of the KSAMC. The JLP members who have been elected to be a part of the KSAMC decided to support Mr Delroy Williams to take up the post of Deputy Mayor.
I understand that Mr Ennis felt that he should become the Deputy Mayor instead of Mr Williams. If Mr. Ennis resigns from the JLP it means therefore that the PNP will have the majority of seats in the KSAC and the Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be members of the PNP.
I am appealing to you all parties, do not bother to start another round of argument as to who won the Local Government Elections. Oonu go see dat di street light ddem fix, di drain dem clean, pound set up to keep stray animals, oonu improve the markets for the vendor and......
I was just about to finish this post only to be reliably informed that Mr. Ennis has retracted his statement and that he will be sworn in as a JLP councillor. He has put a damper on the feelings of the comrades who were just about to start the celebrations.
Note that that there could be a magisteral count for one KSAMC seat so any card can play. This must be the most interesting election in the history of Jamaica.

I am so glad he change his mind this election is something else the other day they make the orange dance off there shoes then change today again they started to dance but the dancing turn in to sadness what a election
ReplyDeleteExactly, what matters is that the people get the best representation possible. Who won? The people, if they sharpen up.
ReplyDeleteAll of this is indicative that the Andrew Holness led JLP is currently in implode mode. Sad to say, but be on the lookout for more fall aways and fall away rumours amongst Labourites.
ReplyDeletePure egos. Pure unadulterated egos. Nobody is working for the people. Could be frustration, could be tired, age or money. Mi no care. Di whole ah dem thinking about themselves. No betta barrel ....
ReplyDeleteHim shoulda stay resigned. Him no have no where going as an independent. KMT!
When will it end😁
ReplyDeleteThe most important thing now is mi nuh kya who win...as long as dem sort out DOWN TOWN with the vendors selling on the side walk and consumers have no where to walk but in the streets...dirty water, garbage and urine with mad people all over the place. It is a disgrace especially in front of the Ward Theatre that is used for dumping garbage and urine. Dem betta come good or we will VOTE out dem behind if the work is not done.
ReplyDeleteToo many self-serving people are in politics, he is acting very entitled.
ReplyDeleteHere is a point to consider. Does Mr. Ellis believe he could serve the people better than the former Mayor? Could it be that his decision is borne out of frustration from little or no progress? Also matters like these have to be addressed with decorum. Could it be thatthe decision landed on him like a ton of bricks sending him feeling like he was demoted?
ReplyDeleteWhat an opportunist.I do not rate politician hustlers whether PNP or JLP and it seems Ennis is one such cannot be trusted.
ReplyDeleteHis resignation was not real it was a negotiating tool.
What was the appeasement Missa D let's hear it if you can ferret that out.
