When Vybz Kartel's appeal was about to be handed down by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in the UK, many were heard to say publicly, "Dem fi free worl' boss". When some criminals have been cut down in the line of fire, it is easy to find a man, woman and pickney to block roads, burn tyres in the road and bawl, "We want Justice". When a citizen is killed by the police the church, human rights organizations, civil society and others in one voice will declare that the citizen's right has been infringed.
Another good police was murdered last night in St. Ann. So far, no roads have been blocked. No fires in the streets. (I am not encouraging anyone to do this.) The silence from these groups has been deafening. I posted a story about the murder and readers did not show the interest I would have loved to see.
I just received information that Ricardo Fairclough is from Litchfield in Trelawny. I lived close to that district when I was a youngster. His mother Miss Dempster and his father Leanord Fairclough died some years ago. He is a past student of the Wait-A-Bit All-Age School.

Don't expect anything from the JFJ as they only back criminals . This is how it is in this country. Criminals have all the rights. Police kill criminal, indecom investigates. Even if his killer was killed, I feel the pain for his family, colleagues and friends. Eternal Father bless our land, guide us with Thy mighty hand keep us free from evil powers

ReplyDeleteThis very sad In Jamaica,why most times the security forces can figure find AK 47 & Big Rifels and it is very rarely them catch anyone 🤔. Honestly, this has been going on for far too long now. When are we going to really, do what is right and stand up for true, clean & pure justice. Please take off the mask off these evil practicing and let Jehovah light begin's to shine again. Seems like our security forces no feel how the country heavy. All because too much grease palm and turning a blind eye and a lot of times a you very own friend or family. End up feeling the blunt,all because greed is the order of the day and corruption must get pay. Too much lay lay, when are we going get stop strayand start to pray for our nation self distrustful behavior.
