Transport Authority - You Have to Deal with This Disgusting Taxi Incident Now!!!

This is an unbelievable video - Jamaica 2024!!!

Seems like the operator.

A passenger

Jamaicans must stand up and refuse as decent passengers to be treated like hogs and goats when we take public transportation. The Transport Authority must get some of them out of the system permanently. Prime Minister Holness it must bleed your heart to preside over a country which operates like this. The time to act is now PM. Let it be known by statement and action that this will not be tolerated under your leadership.

Note:

If you were in this taxi and if you saw the incident, please WhatsApp a message to 876 816-5261.

  1. This is the kind of disgusting behavior that commuters absorb on a daily basis. Everyone who approaches the transport authority for a liscense to operate a taxi should be granted it after proper due diligence as to character and criminal history. Most of these taxi operators are criminals with violent past and present. They can only settle disagreements in the manner just seen.

  4. Good morning, why would I bring the Prime Minister into this? There are so many paid persons who should be answerable along the way. Did this young man have parents, did he go to school, church, did he live in a community, did he apply for a driver's license, a ppv, does he work for someone?
The Prime Minister MUST ensure a good education for all citizens, that is where he has failed miserably, the Parliamentarians etal do not care therefore, we are faced with gross indiscipline, disrespect, a filthy country and a workforce that is unable to meet the demands of the times.
That disgusting display is common place, firing that young man is not the solution. It was an unfortunate incident, no one was hurt, move on to the next!

  5. The PM has to ensure that systems are in place to make these people are held accountable. It seems like anything goes in the transport sector.

  7. Taxi driving and customer care are skills. In today's Jamaica 🇯🇲 should be past the days when someone can just wake up one morning and become a taxi driver without the requisite training and other requirements. Clearly, this taxi driver would not make it pass the gate.
Time for some truth. The Government deregulated the transport industry and created an environment of "who soever will may come". With good intentions no doubt, but clearly it is not, for most parts, beneficial to passengers.

  8. Taxi operators are setting their own fares and bus drivers are discriminating based on sex who sits in the front of their bus

  9. It's such a pity, the other passengers didn't come out too. We've got to stand together and this may mean inconveniencing ourselves for principle.
I hear the Taxi operators want more $.
    Really!?
After the excitement last year or the year before ( don't remember now), they are back with the same behaviour. Police seem to be ' blind' to their wrecklessness. The public is abused daily. Are taxis a law unto themselves?
This amounts to a new category of abuse.
We were told about training, registration etc. Where did all that go?
    May God help us

  10. Calling on the PM to do something about this crass and boorish behaviour is like asking a dog not to bark! He displayed a similar disrespectful behaviour recently, by leading a walkout in parliament when the OL was delivering his budget debate presentation! He's no example to emulate !

  11. The filthiness that passes for a transportation system is an absolute disgrace.

For decades successive governments have made a mess of what is supposed to be a system for transporting people goods and services a very important requirement for building a productive,CIVILIZED and stable society.

Let's start from the beginning define Transportation as moving people ,goods and services.

Then what is the aim and objective of such a system .

It must be to build an efficient, productive civilized and stable society.
    .
You then move to outfit, train and equip the system to achieve such aims and objectives.

Being civilized is the ability to live together in peace and harmony.
We surely have been able to with a transportation shytsem created a whole generation of miserable, brutish short tempered ,ill-mannered and alleged criminal scams of society.

Transportation planning must be removed from partisan short term election cycles.

I herein recommend a bipartisan advisory Commission driven by research and at least a 30year forward thinking and planning in tandem with future national, global growth and developmental realities.

Let me congratulate Mr Rally Smith who seems, swift focused and making the best with the limited basket of resources.
Finally Mr Ralston Smith may God bless and keep you moving the transportation on up up up.
