Dr. Alexander graduated in 2021 from the University of Cape Town, where he specialized in Radiation Oncology and was awarded a certificate in Palliative Care. Dr. Alexander graduated from the UWI with a BSc in Physics and Electronics. He subsequently studied medicine and graduated as a doctor from UWI. Dr. Alexander is an Oncologist at the Hope Institute Hospital, National Chest Hospital and Kingston Public Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica.
He did his residency, at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. While in South Africa Dr Alexander cared for patients who received radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He was involved in giving palliative, adjuvant and neo-adjuvant chemotherapy to patients.
Dr. Alexander has been practising in the Department of Oncology at several medical institutions including Kingston Public Hospital, St Joseph's Hospital, and the Hope Institute Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica since 2011,
Dr Alexander believes Oncology treatment should be patient-centered. He believes in acquiring knowledge continuously. He also put great emphasis on the importance of empathy for patient care.
