Update on Vicious Attack on Business Man in Christiana

The information received from various sources stated that the businessman in Christiana who was attacked with a hammer from behind this afternoon, is now in the Spalding Hospital.

Sources state that the attacker went to the business place and and a dispute developed between the attacker and the business owner. The attacker came back to the business place armed with an hammer and started to deliver some heavy blows to the businessman's head with th⁴e hammer.

I understand that the Chinese Embassy in Kingston made contact with officials in the Manchester and offered assistance to their national.

I received the video below subsequent to my first report. It seems that the attacker was in a confrontation with the businessman before.

One cannot help but hear the racist comments being made by a few onlookers. We should bear in mind that we have Jamaicans living and doing business at all corners in the world. The next President of the USA could be of Jamaican descent.

It should not be difficult to identify, find and apprehend the attacker.

Why is our young men so angry against the our Chinese Nationals? There must be something put in place to better protect our people as they say. Out of many ! One people! I wonder if they would love for the same treatment to handed out to them, if they were living in China? Seems like them drink too much Alo Vera. Them bitter bad! These young men's also need help themselves. Them ready needs some serious counseling.

They are not just angry at Chinese, they are angry with everyone. We need to ask ourselves why the Jamaican society is so adept at producing criminals. Yes, the next US president may be someone of Jamaican descent, but we must ask ourselves why so many people have to go abroad to make a name for themselves. We could have more Kamala Harris' but not many are home-grown success as it is increasingly harder for persons to make a name for themselves in this country. Nevertheless, angry or not, there is no acceptable excuse for choosing a life of criminality.
