Citizen Reports on State of Road in Spanish Town

 

This the deplorable and disgusting condition of a section of King Street in Spanish Town between Ellis street and the Portmore bus terminal. To make matters this where NSWA trucks are parked and when they do even pedestrians have grave difficulties traversing the area. There is stagnant water shrubs garbage and potholes  all long the road way . This area needs urgent attention Mr. Mayor Scott just like so many others roads in the town which are potholes riddle.

Hurricane Allen

August 6, 1980 – Hurricane Allen was a Category 4 hurricane causing very significant damage on the northeastern portion of the island, and was where Allen created a 12-meter (39 ft) storm surge. Allen caused 8 fatalities and $100 million (1980 USD) in damages.

Kamala Harris

Today, the public will know who is Kamala's running mate. Based on the major polls in the US, Kamala Harris is set to be the first female President of the United States.

Persons have tried to tarnish her reputation and have posted what they regard as negative stories about Kamala's husband. These stories are like a basket - they do not hold any water. Kamala's husband's former wife supports Kamala. This speaks volumes about Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris.

Dormant Accounts

Once again I am calling for support for my call on the banks and other financial agencies to allow customers to add contacts for persons on their accounts. These persons could be contacted to assist the banks in locating persons with dormant accounts. Persons die or might be ill and have no recollections of these accounts.

We need to have a law that requires that these funds be placed in a trust managed by the government. These funds would have the TRN, a National ID to identify these funds. If it is ascertained that the owner of the funds has died, then these funds should go to their estate.

This would be an honest and fair approach to take. Let me have your feedback on this matter.

Our Olympiads and Matters Which Affect Their Welfare and Performance

I received several reports about the various sporting committees and how they operate. 

I have been told about some persons who occupy positions for life. People believe that there should be term limits for those who serve on the executive of these organizations.

A sports personality told me that the holders of positions in these organizations hold on to power like some political leaders hold on to power.

Is there something to gain by holding on to power? If we start digging, we could find a massive ant nest!
