From Ketch Man College To St. James High School

Principal Joseph Williams showed his dexterity on his feet.
The students screamed with delight, and they cheered each move.

Each time you believe that you have seen the lowest, most wutless behavior at an institution set up to train our young people, it gets worse. Once again, I am on the St. James High School issue. Who will stop the tearing apart of an institution that many persons from St. James say is now in the top five of the parish?

The cass cass has been taken to the media, and it has now become a national spectacle. A Staff meeting was turned into a town hall-tracing matches and near-fistfights. One day this week, the students and adults were locked out of the school.

This evening it went to another low level. A personal letter sent to the principal about his retirement was shared with the media. I am sure those who are pushing the nastiness would not do so if their children were attending the school.

Do we have any ministers of religion or any senior respected leaders in the West who can state publicly how the issue can be resolved and help to resolve it?

When persons have served well and are approaching their retirement, let them depart in peace. Those who are pushing out people who have contributed, what have you contributed? I have seen this type of treatment meted out to outstanding contributors such as the Hon. Dr. Alfred Sangster, the former UTech Ja principal; DPP Paula Llewellyn, the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller, and now we are again dishing dirt on the outgoing principal of St. James High, Joseph Williams. We need to stop it!

There must be a gold mine at St. James High School, and person or persons are anxious to get a hold of it. Years ago, St. James High was not a school that parents would want their children to attend. It was called Ketch Man College. Now it is the prestigious St. James High School.

St. James High is coming from Ketch man College with gangs roaming the school, and fights occurring daily, I have been told. St. James High has now become a school where children and staff have fun. We want to turn that upside down?

Those fighting for power should listen to this student in the video below.

An ex-board member said in a newscast that because Principal Williams has made a success of the school, he now listens to no one. I wonder if those who are trying to get his ear know anything about education.

Principal Williams knows how to drop two legs. Watch him in the video below.

  5. Let there be peace ✌🏾 in St James High School. Young lady is a promise talent. Students love it when there teachers can loosen up respectfully. I find it hard to believe the ministry can't qwell this problem. 2 bulls can't raine in one pen, one must go!
