Election Date To Be Announced Soon?

The election fever is getting hot, and it is just a matter of weeks or days before the nomination day and election day will be announced. We hope that one day we will have a fixed election date.

Please let us show love to one another. After the elections, we will still be Jamaicans trying to build a great little country.

Politics can be a dangerous thing in any country. Let us pray for our political leaders and the people that there is no violence and there is no loss of lives during this electioneering.

Tomorrow is my birthday, which will be spent at the UWI dealing with my health issues.

It is a dangerous practice for a political leader to be standing in a vehicle as part of a motorcade. This makes the political leaders an easy target. This could spell trouble for the country if a leader is killed in a motorcade.

    Emily Shields predicted a mid August Nomination Day and an early September Election Day. She designated precise dates. Let's see if she is correct or if our Prime Minister will differ 🤔

    It's past time to have fixed election dates. The people are kept hostage, waiting for the announcement. It can be a good political move to be among the people in the streets. We can't be too cautious although we have never had a leader harmed on the campaign trail. My hope is for a peaceful, mature and incident free election. This is not impossible despite the high tension between the two popular parties. The representatives need to genuinely condemn the violent acts perpetrated by their respective supporters. Some appeared reluctant to do so in view of the recent incidents, so when they eventually did so, it appeared superficial.
    Have a super-birthday inspite of health and anything else happening. You're still here for a reason. Still in season and still giving and learning lessons.
