The following report was received from a Bark Di Trute supporter.
Development of a pothole in the road.
My Bro., good evening. Bringing to your notice to seek NWC's attention and action. Brand new SPARK road rehab developed a pimple about 2 weeks ago, is now turning to a sore and if not patched very soon will become a huge incurable pus infilled with "maggitch" requiring surgical incisions, fillings, and reconstruction too expensive to contemplate, leading to another public waste of taxpayers' funds.
This young road sore is located on the Red Hills Rd in the vicinity of the Madame Rose Leon Park.
Thanks for publicising it.
This report will be brought to the attention of the NWC. Help us to monitor this one carefully. Our action can make the difference.
I believe that NWC pipes should not be laid under the road. They should put them under the sidewalks. It must be less costly to fix the sidewalk if the NWC has to fix a broken pipe rather than fixing the road, which impedes the flow of vehicular traffic while work is being done. We should consider making a channel to put NWC pipes in under the sidewalks. Is it possible that the heavy vehicular traffic on the roads is helping to damage NWC pipes?
Some will say that fixing the road early will prevent the contractor from eating a big 'food'.
Your comments, please. Let's hear from the engineers, especially.

It is essential to shift away from allocating taxpayers’ money to short-term projects. Many countries have appointed Permanent Secretaries to ensure that initiatives are sustainable and continue over time. In developed nations, qualified technocrats are responsible for developing and executing effective long-term strategies. While politicians primarily focus on winning votes—and those with vision can introduce innovative policies—it is the technocrats who must establish robust regulations and best practices in advance.
ReplyDeleteLong-term and master plans are essential tools for organizing national development, ensuring efficient use of resources, managing growth, attracting investment, and building a sustainable and resilient future.
This morning July 30 I had reason to drive from hill foot to Red Hills Square. The great scar on the road near to Rose Leon park DOES NOT exist.
ReplyDeleteThe ENTIRE ROAD from the park to hill foot is close to ideal.
