Update on Vernon Derby's Health

Siemens bone scanner

Since January, I have been having various health issues, and I have decided to share them with you. The support I have received from many of you, means you are part of my family. The messages, prayers, calls, and financial support are deeply appreciated. Therefore, I have no challenge sharing my health updates with you. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support. You keep me going.

I received a major boost from someone who also made contact with a doctor to see if I could do laparoscopic surgery rather than open surgery to remove my prostate. Let me once again remind the ladies to encourage their male relatives and their spouses to do their annual medical tests to see if all is well with their prostate.

Early detection means a better chance of living a healthy life. The doctor will do a DRE (digital rectal exam) to see if there are any abnormalities with the prostate. This examination will not kill you, but cancer will. The doctor may recommend that you undergo a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test. If your PSA is high, the urologist will do a biopsy. If the biopsy confirms cancer, then other tests might be done, such as a bone scan, using a bone scanner. In the future, I will share more with you.

Supporters of the blog have indicated that they want to give support and that I should post my bank account online. Those who want to contribute, please note my banking information below.

With your support, I will be out early, especially with this type of operation. It will allow me to be back on my feet early, dealing with your concerns and your challenges. You have empowered me, and I intend to continue to empower you. You have loved me, and I will continue to love you also. That is how we should all live, lovingly.

  1. I will continue to pray for your full recovery. God is good.
Majority of the males in or society are silly for want of a better word, when it comes on to the prostate exam. They would prefer to get cancer and die, than do the exam. It is sad but reality.

Its a disgraceful action by the PNP to try to ban NNN from the National Debates. I will not listen to the PNP talk if this ban is upheld by the Debate Commission. Blessings 💪🏾 🌞
