Elections, Elections and more elections. The US elections are now over and there is no need to worry about people storming Congress again to stop the transfer of power. Donald Trump must be the luckiest man on planet Earth. Not only has Donald Trump won the elections but he has also won the charges levied against him. That is democracy for you.
Several persons have sent messages to me declaring that they are in a state of depression resulting from this discussion about the loss of Kamala Harris. The good thing is that Mr. Trump will get to build his wall to prevent those illegal immigrants from crossing the US border.
Those who hope to see Kamala as the first female president should not give up hope. The lesson learnt is not to make controversial issues the main plank of your political campaign. You need to understand the nature of the American society. They wanted Trump and he is well supported.
Next time when you have a woman with the intellect and leadership ability of Kamala, there is no need to market her as a woman of colour. Just market her as the best candidate and black and white will vote for her. Tell her that this was just another practice. She is now ready for the next election and no one can beat her again. They will be calling Trump too old to continue then and Kamala Harris will make history as the first female President of the United States. Just pray for her life.
Congratulations to Trump. Hopefully, he will be the last President to make it to the White House because next time it shall be called the President's House.

The Cayman Islands government is on the brink of collapse after three Cabinet ministers and a parliamentary secretary quit, plunging Parliament into new chaos and leaving the ruling coalition without a working majority. This was reported in the Cayman Compass on October 31, 2024.Deputy Premier André Ebanks, Sustainability and Climate Resiliency Minister Katherine Ebanks-Wilks, Health Minister Sabrina Turner and Parliamentary Secretary Heather Bodden have resigned from the United People’s Movement with immediate effect.
This could mean early elections in the islands.

I have been informed by one of my Bark Di Trute supporters that the potholes on Dyke Road in St. Catherine have been repaired.
Jamaicans are tired of these road problems of our roads. Mr Egeton Newman the head of TODDS has been screaming his head off trying to get this matter resolved. Jamaica needs to make a decision moving forward as to how we deal with the construction and maintenance of our roads. We cannot fix a pothole today and then have to fix it again as soon it rains.

This fire should be out by this but why do we have a fire like this burning on Ken Hill Drive close to buildings and what looks like a light pole?
Why Richard Thompson Not Appointed as Head of ODPEM

I just received a call from overseas asking me why it has taken so long for Mr. Richard Thompson to be appointed Head of ODPEM. The person said the Mr. Richard Thompson is very accessible and accountable. The man has been acting for so long that he should now qualify for a Grammy Award. This definitely is not good for any organization. If the man is not good enough to be appointed then why take the risk of letting him act for so long?Chairman of the ODPEM Board Dennis Chung, can you answer that question, Sir? This seems like a disaster at ODPEM. Who will deal with it? If there is a disaster at ODPEM the organization might be incapable of dealing with external disasters!
Another Accident, Another One Dies in Portmore
I just got a report from my On The Ground Reporter that just after 2000 hours EST, today, a motorist hit down a poor dog killing the animal on the spot. He then ran into a bus and ended up losing his life. The driver was pinned down in the car which was crumbled up like a sheet of newspaper. Members of the Fire Brigade Service had to assist in removing him from the mangled metal. From all indications, the driver died on the scene.
This happened on Three East Main Road, Greater Portmore. St Catherine. An onlooker said that the officer got a message that two of his colleagues had died and the officer was rushing to reach the scene of that incident when he met his demise. This information is not confirmed.
