| President of Namibia - Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah |
Information coming out of Namibia on social media and other pages is that Namibia’s President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, is taking a firm stand on immigration: over 500 Americans without proper visas are set to be deported. This bold move sends a clear message—no visa means no stay—reinforcing the country’s commitment to upholding its immigration laws without exception.
The information was also posted on a Facebook page called Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.
Many persons in Africa are calling on African countries to unite. They claim that the continent of Africa, with all its resources, can be powerful in the world.
This first female leader of Namibia is creating seismic waves in Africa. Could this be another African tremor with its centre in Namibia that could shake the whole world? She is also seeking reparations from Germany.
She is pushing for visa-free travel for Africans. Burkina Faso's military leader, Ibrahim Traoré, is already creating his own tremors in Africa. Will the Western world react? The Western countries must not alienate these countries because they might seek alignment with other countries which do not share our values.
We need to start listening and watching what is happening on the continent of our forefathers. Interesting days are ahead.
Please share this post with all your brothers and sisters. These are interesting times. You must be a part of the change and a part of the history. The Caribbean, and specifically our country, Jamaica, should seek closer ties with African countries. We must not, however, abandon the West.
Africa is not a poor continent.
