Many Are Down With Covid-19

Covid-19 continues to take it's toll on the world and specifically our island Jamaica. We have already lost approximately 586 persons which include many of our talented persons in entertainment, medicine and other areas. Over 38,000 persons have had Covid-19  with approximately 197 deaths per 1,000,000. There are just over 17,000 active Covid-19 cases.

There are some well known persons who are ill at this time, but not all are all  suffering from Covid-19. Bert Rose a former leading member of the National Dance Theatre Company is now not well and tests are now being done to ascertain what is the challenge.

Well Known journalists Dionne Jackson-Miller and Micheal Sharpe have been confirmed with Covid-19. Michael Sharpe is still at the University Hospital of The West Indies. From all indications he is doing much better these days. Dionne is in quarantine at home.

Dionne in a recent Tweet said that she started exhibiting symptoms last week Wednesday, and she isolated herself immediately at home. She stated that she is very dehydrated at this time. There was a rumours on social media that Michael Sharpe had died and therefore I shared my blog over the weekend about his condition to let his friends know that he was still fighting.

The good news is the MP and Junior Minister Julieth Cuthbert has recovered from Covid-19 and she is back on the road today.
