“We were not able to restore service to as many customers as we would have liked today because of the challenges our teams encountered during the process. Landslides, fallen trees and blocked roads were our biggest challenges. However, we got assistance from the NWA who cleared some roadways, allowing us to make some progress. Our teams will be out again in the morning to continue the work needed to get service back to our customers,” Winsome Callum, JPS Director Corporate Communications promises.
JPS is reminding members of the public to stay away from fallen poles and power lines, as the lines may be energised and could cause electrocution or electrical burns. Customers are also encouraged to report outages using the JPS Mobile App or the company’s website at www.jpsco.com
