Queen Ifrica you have become the voice of countless women who have suffered silently, imprisoned by their pain and shame. Your courage extends far beyond your own healing. It echoes across continents, and may it serve as a catalyst for unity...understanding, and the collective healing that our society so desperately needs.
Your raw honesty calls for a collective awakening, a demand for justice and support for those who have endured the unimaginable. Your story compels us to examine those wounds hidden within our own communities..our own families.. and to take action against the darkness of sexual abuse and incest that have been festering for generations..
I salute you. Your legacy must not be in vain.

The queen spoke too late. You should reveal that trauma you went through before the man died so that he could be shamed. Any way, keep your head high and continue to make good music. You are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHer father is still alive.
ReplyDeleteSo sad she should have said some thing when he was a liveπ½
ReplyDeleteHer father is still alive.
DeleteI WONDER SOMETIMES WHAT KIND OF HEART THESE FATHER'S AND UNCLE HAVE WHEN THEY HAVE SEX WITH THERE OWN DAUGHTER AND NIECE WRITING THIS AND MY STOMACH SICK MORE DAUGHTERS NEED TO COME OUT AND TALK PROUD OF YOU QUEEN .
ReplyDeleteWe Jamaican people need to find a way to be more open about negative happenings, not only in our families, but also in our community. We must be afforded BY THE LAWS OF JAMAICA π―π² to report happenings of this nature without fear or favour.
ReplyDeletePersons have been sending information to my WhatsApp number which is 876 816-5261. I am the only person who has access to this number.
DeleteSo many women are liberated to tell their story because of Queen and I am grateful for that. Even thinking about it must have torn her apart for years so to even speak requires much. People always say why now when a person speaks out, however, a person has to be mentally ready for the backlash when they speak out because they are those who believe that it embarrasses the family/community and should be kept secret. An even bigger deterrent is how we as a people struggle with providing support and sometimes make things worse.
ReplyDeleteIt takes a warrior Queen π like Queen Ifrica. To stand up tall and brawl out the Truth to world π about the cruelty of incest and help others who have been through her hurts and pains, that she has been through. She was a young adult when this happens to her. Can you imagine these disgusting family take the little princess or princes. Down the road sexual immorality. There should a law. As it is being reported and tried and found guilty. Hang them high in the square. So every one can stare. However; a lot of our authorities in High places are commiting the very same brutal acts. So it becomes a hush, hush matter and then sell out comes in to play or if not careful death death follows. Jamaica needs a clean up from Negril point to Morant point. Wake up Jamaica! I pray that the Prime Minister Will Make some serious discussion about who they put in certain areas of authorities. Jamaica needs a proper clean up. Too much nastiness is messing up our youths and our beautiful little island π️. Case close.
ReplyDeleteQueen you have lived up to your name. May the ancestors continue to bless you. You have given courage to many women and the healing will begin for many. The secrets will be revealed
ReplyDeleteAs women we need to speak up before it's too late. Too much suffering, shame, the bundle we are carrying.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lois Grant for the very well written and heartfelt comment! The link to Queen Ifrica's public statement should have put below, because not everyone possibly saw and heard it.....
