Lois Grant's Day 3: EXPLORING MEXICO’S RICH MAYAN CULTURE, FOOD, AND MORE

Editors Note:

ChagodTour invited Communication Consultant and Bark Di Trute Contributor Lois Grant to visit Cuba and then Mexico. Lois Grant was able to visit Mexico. This is Day 3 of an exciting story about Mexico. You certainly need to Click Here if you are interested in going on one of these tours to the various countries that ChagodTours can take you to.

Day 3 uncovers the rich tapestry of Mayan history after an enchanting night of Latin and Afro beats at the captivating Coco Bono Show. The universal language of music, echoing beyond borders, lingers as a harmonious melody, captivating the hearts of all who encounter it.

As the night's rhythmic echoes persist, ChagodTour guides us from the vivacious nightlife of Coco Bono to the anticipation of a full day exploring the profound roots of Mayan civilization in Tulum.

Dressed comfortably in sneakers, we embark on a 2-mile journey, immersing ourselves in captivating tales of a culture that sculpted calendars, astronomy, and intricate early architecture. Guided by the well-informed Alvaro, the Tulum Cenote and Turtles tour becomes a captivating odyssey through time.

Curiosity hums through the site, drawing visitors from across the globe eager to absorb the profound history of a civilization credited with advancing astronomy, calendar systems, and hieroglyphic writings. The enduring pyramids, crafted without modern tools, stand as towering testaments to the Mayans' remarkable prowess. Cameras click incessantly, capturing not just the remnants of pyramids but also the untouched beauty of the beaches—a visual anthology to share upon our return.

Noon-time ushers us into the pristine jungle for a unique dining experience. Opting for a siesta in the comforting embrace of a hammock, I let others indulge in a refreshing river bath before reuniting with the coach at 3:00 pm. The unspoiled allure of nature lulls some members of our influencer group into a deep slumber, prompting a gentle awakening by the tour guide as we transition to snorkelling and turtle-watching. Choosing to observe the beach while others explore underwater, the day's comprehensive blend of history,  river baths, and snorkelling promises a fulfilling yet exhausting end.

But the crescendo is yet to come—Tulum VTR Club Riviera reveals one final enchanting surprise. The night concludes with an exclusive performance by a live Cuban band, leaving us with the promise of a captivating 'last lick' before the curtains fall on our unforgettable Mexican escapade.

Stay tuned for the grand finale on our last night before we bid adieu.
