Governor Richard Byles |
Indications are that people could take matters into their own hands to recover the funds and this could create problems for the police.
The Governor of the Bank of Jamaica needs to address the nation NOW about the situation in our banking sector.

The banking system not safe😁
ReplyDeleteSo where is the safe place the person that person put the money? The story sounds off
ReplyDeleteWas it a safe place in the said bank? Or somewhere else?
Vernon, the Most Hon. PM, the Hon. Minister of Finance and the BoJ Governor need to take a lead role in this matter. If the Citizens of Jamaica lose confidence in the banking sector as they say "game over".
ReplyDeleteLord if I am wrong please forgive me but I believe most of these money that are missing is from inside some of these people working in the banks are criminal old thief them in white color
ReplyDeleteNigel Clarke acts as if FSC & the securities industry alone had issues. BOJ and the banking industry wosera!!!
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is, one might be in a better position if it was stolen within the banking system. Jamaican organizarions are woefully lacking in protection against hacking and if you lose your funds that way, kiss it goodbye. Jamaica needs to come into this century in protecting from both internal and external crooks.
ReplyDeleteIs the Spyware PEGASUS built by Israel NSO here in Jamaica or is it available to ETHICAL HACKERS so it could be used as a law enforcement tool to find out who is doing what in their banking institutions.
ReplyDeleteDoes the Government have it and are they using it to assist in precise
governance, policing and also the targeting of criminals.
The question is though if Pegasus is so good and available to their spy agency Mossad how come Hamas,Hezbollah and then how come the Houthis are wreaking havoc the Red Sea targeting Israeli connected shipping/trade.
Is it that Israel is over-rated as it shouldn't be necessary to use genocidal tactics on the Palestinians in Gaza
Shipping companies are now avoiding that route for a more costly longer route impacting inflation.
The flipside to PEGASUS is that potentially brutal authoritarian Government could use it to neutralize any kind of Opposition.
