We have other things being offered. The family of Violet Edwards gave over JAD2 million to support the Violet Edwards scholarship fund for UWI students. Four students benefitted. The family is trying to raise another JAD2 million to offer scholarships for this year. 

Violet Edwards is the oldest Jamaican to get her Associate degree at  96 years old. She is now in the top five internationally with this achievement.

Thanks to Jamaican Everett Smith, living in the US, for his continued support for the Violet Edwards Scholarship. His effort in getting much-needed equipment for the health sector is laudable. Everett has assisted students at Cornwall College his alma mater.
