In case many of us had forgotten, Berly has gone but we are still in the hurricane season. Her brother or sister could be just waiting their turn. Tonight we were reminded of Beryl when parts of the island felt some very strong winds. A Bark Di True reader said strong winds were felt in North West Clarendon and I felt it in Kingston.
If you felt the strong winds, add a comment to this blog and say which area it was felt. State what effects the wind had on your surroundings.
I am aware that our local radar used for weather purposes is not working. If it was working it is possible that the system would have been identified and an Emergency Alert Message could have been sent out by the Meteorological Office in our media group. All media houses would have been able to alert the nation. The forecast was for a windy evening, and it was more like a stormy evening.
Persons caught on the street had to be running to find a place to hide from the strong winds.
