Jamaican Police Took Down Four Home Grown Terrorists Without the Loss of a Policeman's Life

Commissioner of Police, Dr Kevin Blake

The Jamaica Constabulary Force has scored a major victory against the terrorists. I assume that police had to defend themselves and therefore they had to use deadly force to take down four terrorists. The Commissioner alluded to the fact that, unfortunately, criminals will not surrender when confronted by the police. Commissioner my only concern is that police officers do not end up losing their lives.

Those gunmen who took on the police have saved our country millions. Can you imagine the cost of what could be some lengthy trials? It is time that we start seizing the assets of convicted criminals to cover the costs of their trials.

Mr Commissioner make sure that we have more karate expects in the force who can deal with unruly citizens. For the terrorists who will take on the police with their weapons, make sure that all officers are sharpshooters. Ensure that police deal decisively with the criminals and give law-abiding citizens a break especially when they make simple mistakes. That way you will have more law-abiding citizens supporting the police force.

Tell your officers to refer to us as Sir and Miss and behave like our servants. Decent citizens need them in the same that a thirsty person needs water. The support for the force is growing. Let it grow and let the criminals find no hiding place.

  4. I guess it's the duty of these police officers to arrest persons shooting at them, no matter the cost. After all, their lives are meaningless or of less value than that of those shooting at them. These police men & women have nothing to live for and no one to go home to. The men who were planning to rob Beryllium and likely kill others deserve to get some consideration for risking their own lives to do wrong and the state needs to ensure that all their resources should be used to preserve the life they willingly squandered.

  5. My point is the police are supposed to be trained to disarm, not kill. It is socially accepted and as such they shoot to kill. A soldier and a police have different job descriptions. They need better training. I suggest training with foreign police.
Nobody is saying they should allow themselves to be killed, what is being said is that they need to do their job. Murdering suspects and criminals is not a job duty. Each of such cases must be thoroughly investigated and the relevant actions be taken.

  6. The best way for the police to act when confronted by a criminal armed with a deadly weapon is for the police to take an accurate shot first. That terrorist will not be able to commit that act again. To attack police with a deadly weapon is a suicidal act!!!
