Police Still Haunted and Traumatized by Bizarre Killing of Detective Sergeant Mayne

Press Release From The Jamaica Police Federation - 2024/07/26

Sgt. Arlene McBean - Police Federation Chairman

Kingston Jamaica, Friday July 26, 2024. Days after the brutal slaying of Detective Sergeant Kevin Mayne by a business man on the Half Way Tree Police Station compound, the Police Federation says members are still traumatized and haunted by the bizarre events.

According to Federation’s head, Sgt Arleen McBean, the callous cowardly act is a stark reminder of the dangerous environment in which the police operate.

She said police officers must be vigilant at all times as there is no safe situation for a police officer. She lauded the work of the support bodies within the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). She urges members to prioritize their mental health and seek all available counselling options.

The Police Federation remembers Detective Sergeant Mayne as the consummate professional who was committed, hardworking and an astute investigator who was fearless and fair in carrying out his duties.

The Police Federation has expressed sincere condolences to his family colleagues and friends and especially his mother, a retired member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF)

Sgt McBean says there must never be a re-occurrence of this dastardly act.

Haunted by death and she smiling so much.
Picture is absolutely inappropriate for this occasion.
Death of Sgt Mayne is no "skin teeth matter"

It is a picture that was taken from the internet and used for the article. Your mind and way of thinking is shallow. This must be a traumatizing experience for the members of the JCF.

So you wanted them to call her in, take sone pictures and gather a team of acclaimed psychologist to go through and choose the most appropriate picture based on how the light fall on her face, the angle of the lines by her eyes and mouth, the colour of her blouse because blue just won't do as it signifies calm , peace and hope so black which implies mourning with red piping or something because red though it signify love also implies anger and her hair just wouldn't do because it's way to neat it has to be ruffled a bit at least. But oops, her eyes, at least that's an easy fix, they can just rub a little Vicks Vapour Rub under her eye lids. Oh crap now there is too much tears
