Can Minister Grange and Other Political Leaders Run Another Political Lap?

Hon. Olivia Grange OJ, CD, DSE

The information received from good sources is that Minister Olivia Grange is still in intensive care. Let's pray and hope she will be out of intensive care soon. One media house declared that the Minister was in the Intensive Care Unit at the UWI for observations. That sounds strange! Being in intensive care indicates that your health conditions are of major concern to the doctors.

One can understand if she leaves the Intensive Care Unit and is placed in the ward for observations. I am no doctor but I have been critically ill before. I missed the ICU and the morgue by the skin of my teeth. If and when Minister Grange leaves the hospital, she will need an extended period of rest and relaxation before she gets back to her busy and strenuous Ministerial job. That could take about two or three months.

Hon. Edmund Bartlett CD
The Prime Minister needs to appoint a Parliamentary Secretary to manage the Ministry until Minister Grange returns. The Parliamentary Secretary should remain in the Ministry even when Minister Grange is ready to return. Edmund Bartlett who has enjoyed fairly good health and runs a great ministry, should have a Parliamentary Secretary assigned to his Ministry. All of this would be part of succession planning.

National Elections are approaching and some of our leaders cannot contemplate running another political lap. They will experience political heart failure! Many of you have earned the Gold, so what more do you want. There is no power on your sick bed nor in your grave.

I am not panicking but some of our leaders need to know when it is time to pack up or else it could be difficult to find a stretcher to take them out.

I am speaking from experience. I know what it is to have major health issues. Mark my word, Minister Grange might be more serious than it is being made out to be. Other leaders should put their health and their political future on the scale. If there is a balancing challenge then...

Over to you Mr. Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition!

I am no Med expert but I believe that ICU has the best and most modern of things available.

Therefore, if you have the clout , or cartel connections and $ you have nothing to lose by being in ICU.

She and her Ministry is a world boss at this time and perhaps overworked.

Hope they at least let her have even the blue pill to boost her nitric oxide levels and oxygen.supply levels.

Bless up Ms Grange you will be back is rest you need.

Well said Sir Vernon. We need to consider a retirement age for politicians. In my view no one over age 72 should contest an election. See the crisis they almost had in the USA with an obviously diminished President being pressured not to recontest?

I pray for speedy recovery for Minister Olivia B Grange. However; we need to get rid of all those who travel with the JTFA. What a big disgrace to our honourable Athletes, who trained all year round and then they reached the Olympics and some cannot get to run because of the dumb Olympics rule's and our Athlete's were being Robbed of their Gold & Silver πŸ…s. This is worse than rotten cabbage. How are going to fixed this one 🀷. This must be the worse Olympics for our Jamaican contingent. We need answers and fast. Out Leader's are so dumb, deaf and blind to what is really going onπŸ™†. No help for our hard working Athlete's to be robbed right in front of their very eye's. Shame and disgusting disgrace, Sir Vernon.
