I received a report from a Bark Di Trute supporter that there is a major accident on the highway at Mount Rosser this afternoon. Please check with the police to get an update on traversing the area at this time.
If you are in the area, please send your videos and pictures by WhatsApp to 876 816-5261 so we can get a better understanding of what has happened.
People are complaining that a public announcement should be made to alert motorists to avoid the area until further advised.
Once again, I am reminding the authorities to make use of the Emergency Alert System, which was set up to give persons in authority the ability to pass on emergency information to the traditional media houses immediately. This information could be shared publicly immediately, and therefore, motorists would know they should avoid the area.
