Mrs Hyacinth Mae Williams Knight, mother, mentor, and friend, has just passed. A teacher, Jamal Officer, farmer, developer, councillor, mayor, and member of parliament, who served the people of St Mary for years with distinction.
She gave birth to four children but mothered many and was an aunt to many more.
Her contribution will and can never be forgotten. A quiet and determined person, with a magical yet soft smile that lights up any room.
Her gifted hands in the kitchen will no longer turn on the stove or stir a cake batter; no more neatly dressing a grandchild; no worries over back-to-school for a child. Mommy Knight is no more, but she will always be, as she is in our hearts!
May your soul be greeted by the angels that sing; may Jesus the Saviour meet you, Mae! May you find rest in the Heavenly Father's arms!
Rest well. Hyacinth Mae Knight, rest well.
