Christopher Seaga The Fighter The Survivor!

Christopher Seaga

November 21, 2021, I carried the story on my blog about Christopher Seaga, the son of former Prime Minister Edward Seaga who needed a kidney to save his life. The matter was brought to my attention by someone close to the family who felt that I could assist. My only tool was to make this matter public. I believe that Jamaica still has some wonderful and caring people and I knew they would assist and support this lovely Jamaican.

The moment the blog was posted, the calls started coming in. One thing that I can tell you about my Jamaican people is that even if they don't talk to you, if something goes wrong with you, there is that immediate concern for you. Desmond Allen of the Jamaica Observer saw my story and he published an article in the Jamaica Observer about it. The whole thing now developed wings and the story touched the hearts of all well thinking Jamaicans here and overseas. Someone who worked with Christopher in the hotel sector, said that he was shocked to learn after working with Christopher for sometime, that his father was a former PM. He said to me that Christopher was so humble.

It is nearly one year since that post, and I am happy to report that I just heard from Christopher and the news is good. His medical operation went well and he is now out of ICU and is back on a recovery path. He is now in New York and will remain there for three months. He has to go in for weekly consultations until the doctors feel that he can return to Jamaica. I know some of you are wondering..... wondering what...... All I can do at this time is sigh and say let's hope for the best. The good Lord and the good people will continue to support the young man.

I am looking forward to meeting this fighter for the first time when he returns to the island. Let's also think of helping and assisting not only Christopher but the many other Jamaicans who are having similar challenges. When I talked to him before he left Jamaica, he was concerned about the many Jamaicans who cannot afford dialysis treatment and who are in need of care. Let's lobby our government to work with the UWI Hospital in getting an organ bank facility set up at the University Hospital of the West Indies. This would mean that we could do the kidney transplant in Jamaica.

Thanks to all those who responded to my call for help. Remember this, 'Do good and good will follow you'. Christopher appreciates all the support.

Mackie Conscious' Positive Music - Broadcasting Commission Bans Some Songs

Mackie Conscious

While the Broadcast Commission now places a bans on music that promote violence, lotto scamming and the drug Molly from the air waves, recording artiste  Mackie Conscious re-energizes the song, 'More Reality'. This was recorded almost 20 years ago when he was preaching positivity and calling for more of it in our music/lives. This was produced by veteran radio broadcaster Richard (Richie B) Burges in 2003 on his energy Beat Label. "The song never did well on the airwaves  because the airwaves then was bombarded with slackness and gun lyrics", says Mackie Conscious.
Mackie Conscious says that he will  not have to compete with anything but conscious music on the airwaves now. Mackie Conscious also did the song 'Lucky Me Nuh Lucky' in which he spoke how his songs are potent but didn’t get the treatment they deserved from sound system selectors and Radio DJs. He hopes to be an ambassador against crime and violence now, through his music with  conscious and positive lyrics.

so much to teach the children in this world today
for us to teach them
music is the way
we got the lessons in so many way
if we lose our message they will go astray
we can't be careless and go on
we know whats right from what wrong
we have a duty we got to carry on
there is power in a song.

make we chant to the sound of the rhythm of life with more reality
make we move to the beat of the rhythm with more morality

Police Federation Condemns Killing of Young Cop

Rohan James
Chairman, Police Federation

The Police Federation has condemned the brutal slaying of a young cop, 21 year old, Constable Brian Martin who was attached to the St Andrew Central Division.

Martin was shot and killed last evening while giving support at a wake in Frog City, Maxfield Park, St Andrew.

The Federation said it cannot be business as usual when criminals have blatant disregard for the sanctity of life and the rule of law.

The Federation has vowed to stand with its members and the law-abiding citizens of Jamaica in the fight against criminals who believe they are above the law and are supported by some citizens who glorify criminality.

The Federation is expressing condolences to the family of young Martin. A probationary Constable who was ready for a life time of service to the people of Jamaica.

Chairman of the Police Federation, Cpl Rohan James says, it is time for Jamaicans to wake up to the reality that we must take the fight to the criminals.

He said there should be no safe haven for criminals anywhere in Jamaica.

Give Christopher Seaga A Fighting Chance

Christopher Seaga

Last year I posted this blog about Christopher Seaga's challenges. He is a talented man who many of his workers in the hotel sector had nothing to say except good things about him. He subsequently went on air and appealed for support for not only himself but also for many other Jamaicans who have to deal with diabetes and those who have challenges dealing with the dialysis treatment. At that time it was realized that he needed a kidney transplant.

Christopher continues to fight and if you want to help in that fight, then send me a whatsApp message to 876 816-5261.

All the best.
