The Gun and The Motor Vehicle Can Kill!

Dr Jones nobady tell mi say is speeding cause dis accident yah. Do a proper background check on these drivers, and you will learn more about the characters we have driving on our roads. Police officers looking out for speeding drivers are just collecting more taxes for the government. Police need to look out for mad drivers, and after these mad drivers accumulate certain amounts of tickets, they should be removed for five years or more from our roads. I guarantee you, that this action will reduce the madness on our roads. We need to remove the mad people now from our roads!

A gun in the hands of a madman is a dangerous thing. A madman around the steering wheel of a motor vehicle is equally dangerous. Both are killers. Anybody can get a license to drive a car, but not everybody can get a gun license.

Until we take the mad people off the roads permanently, the mayhem on our roads will continue.

Planning Institute of Jamaica - Took Too Long

Vernon, here is the question. Why did it take weeks for the Planning Institute of Jamaica to comprehend the full impact of Hurricane Beryl on the Jamaican economy? It's a friendly question to my good friend Doctor Wayne Henry. This kind of evaluation should be done within a few weeks of the event. It simply took too long.

Hi-Tech Equipped Criminals Waiting to take Your High-End Vehicles

Stock Picture
The criminals are at it again, stealing vehicles. Last week they went into a community to steal a car, and community members created such a commotion that the whole community woke up and the thieves left with lightning speed minus the car. The thieves took up their feet in their hands and ran. Those criminals are lucky they were not caught in some communities, because they would never see sunrise again.

I received a recording from someone whose Land Cruiser Prado was stolen at the Liguanea Post Office on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. When you purchase a motor vehicle, you should check with the police department to ascertain if the vehicle is a stolen vehicle.

If you have a keyless vehicle, the criminals have the technology to deal with that. If you have a tracker on your vehicle paying a monthly fee for it, the car thieves can handle that, I am told. I have been told that equipment has come into the island that can immobilise vehicle trackers.

The Jamaica Olympic Association Dissed Babsy?

Minister Olivia Grange

Ed Barnes

While the country zooms in on various issues, there is one issue that is simmering below the surface, and while it might not explode like a volcano, it will have a major impact on the country's future. Jamaica has done well in sporting activities over the years, and this has made this little country a world power. It seems to me that all is not well in the halls of sports.

Today I present another viewpoint from Ed Barnes. This should not be ignored. Those who love sports and also love their country need to share their comments about Ed Barnes' comments and add other comments about sports. The nation will be listening to you.

The private sector and the public sector support sports; therefore, this matter is not a private one. I have tried unsuccessfully to get to the President of the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) and also the communication person at Minister Grange's office. I also understand that elections are coming up for the JOA but persons who are not currently on the executive have not expressed interest in the elections!
